WRAPPED IN TINFOIL AND DROWNING IN M&M’S, CODE RED, AND A CHEAP X-FILES ALLUSION
It’s been 2+ months since the government’s 9-page UFO/UAP report landed with a thud. Your chronicler has been watching – and in some cases, ducking – the fallout. The kindest, most positive thing one can say about it is that it has convinced mainstream media that the subject is no longer considered “flakey,” “goofball science,” or “wink-and-a-nod fodder” for readers and broadcast audiences wearing the tin foil hats. That’s a BIG positive. It’s a small relief. But it’s still not enough.
Some respectable developments have occurred. So, knowing that you weren’t going to let your summer slip away from you without fully indulging in it — and not look at all the UFO world has to offer — the following tidbits are offered for your consideration as we slide into September. In no particular order, these news items are offered for review and Muldauring over (sorry, X-Files fans). All pretty much indicating that the search for the truth marches on, sans official government edicts and abbreviated media attention. Most who know that the “phenomenon” bears studying out in the open in academia and within government agencies – and those who are deep in the trenches -- understand that only a FULL DISCLOSURE and no phony baloney substitutes are the right paths forward, with or without Uncle Sam’s blessing.
Unless of course, “the boys upstairs” – as I chauvinistically call them in my book – want to become more pro-active and participate in their version of disclosure. But I don’t think we’ll see that. As I told a newspaper reporter recently, we have to earn their engagement, and frankly, we’re not there yet. The planet’s a hostile place. It’s on fire, literally and figuratively (the UN just issued a CODE RED in its latest climate report). There’s plague. And then for ultimate distractions, there’s that billionaire race to space, which is a head scratcher for many.
More Government UFO/UAP Reporting – Every 90 Days. Whitely Strieber’s always reliable Uknowncountry.com site links to a good summary about how we can expect new reporting from the Pentagon’s Unidentified Aerial Phenomena Task Force (UAPTF). The office – rumored to be just 2 people deep, with many big agencies looking over its shoulder – “has received a significant extension to its powers through the recently-passed Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2022 (IAA), mandating that the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) and Secretary of Defense require the agencies and departments under their respective umbrellas to provide both the UAPTF and the Air Force’s National Air and Space Intelligence Center with data relevant to the UAP phenomenon. The UAPTF’s mission was also formalized by a June 25 memorandum issued by the Deputy Secretary of Defense.” Note to Government: Define “relevant.”
Also from Strieber’s site: The Classified UAP Report May Have Referenced Recovered ET Technology and Back-Engineered Craft – according to UFO historian Richard Dolan (UFOS & The National Security State books) in a recent YouTube Presentation that breaks down what’s in the secret stuff only select congressional types and others with deeper security clearances are privy to.
Where is a good LEAKER/WHISTLBLOWER who will bust this out to the public?!
Meanwhile in China….Russia Today, an alleged propaganda organ of the Russian government, reports that the “Chinese military has its own UFO task force… and it’s been ‘overwhelmed’ by surge in sighting reports.”
Meanwhile at Harvard…. Not to be outdone by the Chinese or American governments, Avi Loeb, the renowned Harvard astronomer and theoretical physicist who claims that an interstellar traveler or a stealth technological snoop may have passed through our galaxy in 2017, has created this summer the privately funded Galileo Project to look for the boys upstairs -- or at least their flying machines. Scientific American – and many other media -- have reported extensively on Loeb’s star-gazing initiative: “With nearly $2 million in private funding, the controversial new initiative is targeting unidentified phenomena in Earth’s skies and beyond.” Kudos to Loeb, whose early 2021 book, Extraterrestrial: The First Sign of Intelligent Life Beyond Earth, named this celestial interloper “Oumuamua” – Hawaiian for “Scout.” Good Luck with that! And don’t let it become SETI II.
Bragging Rights Dept., or Shameless Self-Promotion, Part Deux: Finally, as I hurt myself with a strenuous pat on the back, a recent Amazon rave review for The Space Pen Club book:
ONE PART X-FILES, ONE PART ALICE IN WONDERLAND, 100% GREAT READ!
“Better than a family-sized bag of peanut M & M’s at midnight, I absolutely devoured this book! Keller's lifelong quest for truth about his cosmic experiences with "the boys upstairs" often raises more questions than answers. But the rabbit holes this author diligently follows and the inner circles he is welcomed into reflect the best of both personal inquiry and investigative reporting. This is a compelling, thought provoking, relatable, well researched and at times, laugh-out-loud memoir.” FIVE STARS!
Remember, if you read the book and like it, please post a review on Amazon: It helps drive the book’s algorithm crazy and increases its visibility. If you don’t like it, you have hundreds of other titles about so-called UFOs to consider (but none will deal with the subject – or the rabbit holes – quite like this one). Trust me on this one….
